Permanent solution for tooth loss
What is Orthodontics and Why Should I Consider This Treatment?
Orthodontics is used to correct the position of teeth and jaws. Very few people have teeth that fit together perfectly and this can mean they are harder to keep clean and the risk of tooth decay and gums disease may increase. Teeth or jaws that are incorrectly positioned can also place additional pressure on the jaw joints and muscles, increasing the risk of TMD, a condition that can cause facial pain that may radiate out towards the neck and shoulders. Then there is the question of appearance, as a straighter smile will look more attractive.
How Can I Tell If I Need Orthodontics?
You might already be aware that some of your teeth are out of alignment, but the best way to discover how orthodontics could help you is to book a consultation with a dentist at Dental Expressions. We’ll check the way your teeth are positioned, as well as assessing how they bite together. If necessary we may want to take dental x-rays and photographs to help us plan treatment and so we can explain how braces will help. We can also talk about the results that could reasonably be achieved through choosing our treatment plan
