Porcelain Veneers

Veneers are an ideal cosmetic solution for everyone who desires a beautiful smile with minimal invasions into their teeth.

Veneers are very thin porcelain shells that fit over the surfaces of front teeth. We often use veneers to improve the appearance of teeth that might be chipped, heavily stained or discoloured as they can look fantastic. Porcelain veneers can also be useful for correcting teeth that are slightly out of alignment or which perhaps are a bit too small or oddly shaped.

Veneers are suitable for anyone whose teeth are strong and healthy. If your teeth are slightly weaker or have large fillings, then we may suggest using dental crowns to protect the entire tooth. We often use veneers in conjunction with other cosmetic dental treatments. They can be great for perfecting the appearance of teeth that have just been straightened, or we may suggest them as an alternative to braces, selectively veneering one or two teeth that are out of alignment.

One important thing to bear in mind about veneers is that treatment is generally irreversible as we do normally need to prepare the teeth prior to veneering.
